The H.O.P.E. Program in Kyiv

Life is just easier and better when we help each other.

Through high-value and social-active volunteerism, the mission of the H.O.P.E. Program in Kyiv is to strengthen its growing foreign expat community, cultivate relationships between expats and locals, and support local entrepreneurs and businesses. In general, H.O.P.E. strives to improve the overall quality of life for all those living in Kyiv.

About This Wonderful City

Kyiv is the capital and most populous city of Ukraine. Founded around 482 AD, Kyiv is one of the oldest cities in Eastern Europe, with archaeological evidence of human settlements dating back as far back as 4300 BC. Kyiv is roughly 839 square kilometers, and home to around 3 million people.

Regarding the foreign expat community here,  it shrank considerably after the 2008 financial crisis and political events in 2013 and 2014 but it has been steadily increasing since 2015 with an influx of foreign experts for technical assistance projects and the implementation of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement (which increased trade).
